Biography
Andy Muirhead, born 8 July 1993, is an Australian outside back currently representing the ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby Pacific. Operating primarily on the wing or at fullback, the right-footed finisher is valued for his pace, footwork and aerial work under high balls. Muirhead earned his Wallabies debut in 2021 after a string of strong seasons in Canberra, where he established himself as one of the competition's most consistent try-scorers. His role at the Brumbies has shifted with experience: once a younger back filling an opening, he is now a senior figure in the back three, drawing on years of provincial experience to anchor defensive coverage and provide a finishing option in attack. Beyond his pace and finishing, he is regarded as a steady, low-error presence — qualities that have made him a long-tenured fixture at one of Super Rugby's most successful clubs. Now in his thirties, Muirhead continues to combine speed with the experience that has made him one of the more recognisable figures in the Brumbies' back line.
