Biography

A sharp, quick-passing scrum-half, Andy Uren has long been valued for his game management and tempo at the base of the ruck. Born on 20 February 1996, the English-born number nine made his name with Bristol Bears, where he was part of the side that lifted the 2020 European Challenge Cup. He later moved to Italian club Benetton Treviso, bringing his experience to their half-back rotation. Uren's game is built on crisp service, intelligent tactical kicking and a willingness to snipe around the fringes, keeping defences honest close to the breakdown. As a senior figure, he offers calm direction and control, dictating pace and helping his forwards play on the front foot. His blend of experience and decision-making makes him a dependable option at scrum-half.
