Biography
Working his way through the ranks at US Arlequins Perpignanais, Antoine Aucagne is a young French playmaker honing his craft within the club's development structure. Born on 11 April 2000, he operates in the backs, where his game management and reliable kicking make him a useful organiser in the reserve and development setup at USAP. Aucagne's strengths lie in his decision making and composure: he looks to control tempo, manage territory and keep the attacking shape ticking over. As part of the Perpignan pathway, he plays an important developmental role, gaining the game time and experience needed to push for senior opportunities at a club famed for its attacking ambitions. The reserve grade is a proving ground in French rugby, and Aucagne uses it to sharpen the fundamentals of his position while learning the standards required at Top 14 level. Patient and diligent in his approach, he continues to build the all-round skill set of a modern back, with the aim of cementing a place in the senior fold at Perpignan.
