Biography
Aymeric Rousere came through the academy at Aviron Bayonnais and is working toward regular senior involvement with the Basque club in the Top 14. The French loose forward was born on 9 August 2005, placing him among the youngest members of the Bayonne pack.
His strengths are those of a modern back-rower: tackling with intent, competing at the breakdown, and looking to make ground with ball in hand through the tight channels. Defensive intensity and a willingness to do the unrewarded work make him a natural fit for the forward-oriented approach Bayonne bring to the French top flight, where confrontation up front remains central to how the club competes.
For a player of his age, the challenge is translation — turning physical attributes and academy form into performances that hold up against seasoned Top 14 forwards. That process demands patience: game understanding, decision-making under fatigue, and the durability to withstand a long domestic season all take time to develop.
Bayonne's passionate support and pack-driven identity offer a fitting environment for that maturation. Rousere represents part of the club's ongoing investment in its own players, and his path forward runs through the depth minutes and squad opportunities that shape a young forward into a senior professional.
