Biography

An Argentine international with a flair for the spectacular, Bautista Delguy has made his name as a livewire finisher on the wing. Born on 22 April 1997, he first caught the eye in Super Rugby with the Jaguares before going on to represent Los Pumas, where his pace and willingness to back his footwork in tight spaces marked him out as a try-scoring threat. Now contracted to ASM Clermont Auvergne, Delguy adds explosive attacking intent to the French club's back three in the Top 14 and European competition. His game is built on acceleration, evasive running and an eagerness to get involved, hunting work off his wing to inject himself into the attacking line. Defensively committed and quick to capitalise on broken-field opportunities, he offers Clermont a potent option out wide whenever the team looks to play with ambition. At his best, the Argentine is the kind of finisher who can change a contest with a single burst into open space.
