Biography
Beka Gigashvili is a Georgian tighthead prop whose powerful scrum work has made him a cornerstone of both his national pack and RC Toulon in the Top 14. Born on 17 February 1992, he has built his senior career around the heavy-duty set-piece and collision-heavy forward play that define Georgian rugby's distinctive identity.
Gigashvili's game is built on formidable scrum power. He is a broad-based, technically disciplined tighthead who holds his body position under the heaviest loads, giving his hookers and locks a reliable platform from which to operate. Around the field he contributes strong, direct ball-carrying in the tight channels and a relentless breakdown presence, hitting the contact area with the kind of intensity that typifies the Georgian forward approach.
For Georgia he has delivered standout performances across multiple Rugby World Cups, where his scrum contests have helped his country establish a reputation as one of the most technically demanding packs in world rugby. Those tournament appearances have placed him among the most recognisable front-row forwards in the Tier 2 game.
At Toulon he was part of the squad that lifted a Top 14 title in 2023, a defining achievement in French club rugby and a landmark moment in his career. Gigashvili continues to anchor one of the most confrontational scrums in the Top 14 and remains a senior, Test-hardened voice in the Toulon pack.
