Biography
Bixintxo Daguerre is a French forward developing within the Aviron Bayonnais system, born on 18 October 2008. Bayonne's Basque heartland and Stade Jean-Dauger home base give the club one of the most distinctive identities in French rugby, rooted in a forward-oriented and passionately supported playing environment. Young forwards progressing through the Bayonnais pathway are schooled in the fundamentals of the traditional French pack: scrum and lineout technique, physical carrying and the defensive intensity demanded week-to-week in Top 14 rugby. At his current age-grade stage, Daguerre's focus is on the long developmental arc from youth rugby through the Espoirs programme and towards eventual senior matchday involvement. French rugby's investment in academy and age-grade structures has created a clearer runway between youth-level rugby and the senior professional game, and Bayonne's pathway sits within that wider national framework. For Daguerre, the objective over the coming years is to continue his progression through age-grade and Espoirs rugby, adapt to the step-ups in intensity that each level demands and push to establish himself as part of Bayonne's longer-term forward planning.
