Biography
A product of Canterbury's renowned forward production line, Cullen Grace brings athleticism and a high work rate to the Crusaders' loose forwards. Born on 20 December 1999, the blindside flanker can also cover number eight and lock, and his versatility across the back five makes him a valuable squad member. He marked his arrival on the international stage by scoring a try on his All Blacks debut against Australia in 2020, a moment that underlined his potential. Grace's game is founded on powerful ball-carrying, a genuine presence at the lineout and the defensive steel that the Crusaders demand of their loose trio. He covers ground tirelessly, links well in the wider channels and adds physicality to both attack and defence. As an option in the engine room or at the back of the scrum, he offers his coaches flexibility while never sacrificing the relentless effort that defines the Crusaders' forward pack. Combining size, mobility and set-piece value, Grace remains an important contributor to one of Super Rugby's most successful franchises.
