Biography
Born in Toulouse on 15 September 1993, Cyril Baille has developed into one of world rugby's most accomplished looseheads during a career spent at Stade Toulousain. His blend of raw scrummaging power and unusual mobility around the park has made him a natural modern prop, as comfortable taking carries in traffic as he is anchoring the set piece. Since breaking into the France senior squad in 2016, Baille has accumulated a substantial caps haul, featuring prominently in the 2022 Six Nations Grand Slam campaign under Fabien Galthie and in France's run at the 2023 Rugby World Cup on home soil. At club level he has been a constant presence in a golden Toulouse era, contributing to multiple Top 14 titles and Champions Cup triumphs. Coaches routinely single out his work rate and technical consistency at scrum time, traits that have allowed him to hold off successive challengers for the French number one jersey. Within the Toulouse dressing room he is regarded as a composed, team-first forward, qualities that reflect the long apprenticeship he served before assuming a leadership role in the pack.
