Biography
A product of Welsh rugby's development pathway, Dan John has grown into an exciting attacking option in the Exeter Chiefs back line. Born on 4 October 2001, the Wales international operates primarily on the wing and at fullback, where his pace and elusive footwork make him a difficult man to contain in broken play. He combines quick acceleration with a reliable finishing instinct, regularly threatening defences whenever space opens out wide. John progressed into the senior ranks at Exeter and went on to earn international recognition with Wales, marking himself out as one of the promising young backs to emerge in recent years. At club level he offers the Chiefs a genuine attacking spark, stretching defensive lines and capitalising on counter-attacking opportunities. Still in the earlier stages of his career, John continues to add consistency and game-management to a naturally explosive skill set, and remains a back with considerable upside in the Premiership.
