Biography
Edoardo Todaro is one of the youngest members of the Northampton Saints senior environment, having joined the Gallagher Premiership club from Italian rugby's traditional heartland at Petrarca Padova. Born on 24 September 2006, the Italy age-grade international made the move to Franklin's Gardens as a teenager, marked early as one of the more promising forwards to come through the Italian system. His game is built around set-piece accuracy and aggression in contact, with a willingness to throw himself into carries that belies his developing frame. Saints have long valued players who can grow inside their pathway, and Todaro's presence supplies useful competition in the forward group while he continues to physically mature. Italian rugby supporters have followed his progress at age-grade level, where his combative style has earned consistent selection. At club level he remains in development, with first-team minutes coming gradually as he adapts to the pace and physicality of senior English rugby. With several more seasons of progression ahead of him before he reaches a typical forward's peak, Todaro represents a long-term investment for the club and a player Italian national selectors will be tracking closely.
