Biography

Elliot Dee is a Welsh hooker who has long been one of the most dependable front-row forwards available to his national side. Born on 7 March 1994, he came through the regional system with the Dragons and has spent the bulk of his career in Welsh rugby. A dynamic hooker with a high work rate, Dee combines accurate lineout throwing with strong carrying in traffic and a willingness to compete at the breakdown. He is comfortable both starting matches and entering in the second half, where his energy around the ruck often makes an immediate impact. Dee earned his first Wales cap in 2017 and has since built a steady collection of international appearances across Six Nations and Rugby World Cup campaigns. His experience at Test level has helped him develop into a composed set-piece operator under pressure. At regional level, he has served as a senior leader within the Dragons' forward pack, setting standards in training and helping guide younger hookers and front-rowers. His combination of technical skill, durability and attitude continues to make him a valued squad member for both club and country.
