Biography

Italy-eligible flanker Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi, born 3 March 2006, is registered with Bath Rugby in England's Gallagher Premiership. At 20, he is in the emerging-talent window for a back-row forward, working within Bath's senior development structure during a competitive period for the club at the top of the English domestic table. Bath's recent surge into Premiership finals contention has been built on forward physicality, an aggressive defensive line and strong set-piece foundations, with the back row central to that platform. The flanker position itself rewards work-rate at the breakdown, tackling intensity and athleticism in open play. Opoku-Gyamfi's career path runs through senior squad inclusion at club level and through Italian age-grade and development structures at the representative level, with his Italian eligibility opening pathways via the Federazione Italiana Rugby's age-grade and Emerging Italy programmes. His progression at Bath will depend on competition for minutes within an experienced senior loose-forward unit.
