Biography
Feleti Sae-Ta'ufo'ou brings forward power to Moana Pasifika, the Auckland-based Super Rugby Pacific franchise representing Pacific Island rugby on the southern-hemisphere professional stage. Born in 2002, the flanker has developed as part of a new generation of Pacific Island talent being built into the Moana Pasifika squad since the franchise's introduction to Super Rugby. His style is grounded in strong defensive commitment and active work at the ruck, hallmarks of the physically imposing forward play that Pacific Island rugby is renowned for. Moana Pasifika, still in their formative seasons as a professional franchise, have centred their squad build on developing Pacific-eligible players, and Sae-Ta'ufo'ou's role fits that wider project. He adds to a back-row unit that continues to grow in cohesion across Super Rugby Pacific campaigns. As a younger forward still accumulating senior-level minutes, he represents the ongoing push to strengthen Pacific Island representation at the top level of the professional game and the franchise's long-term competitiveness within the competition.
