Biography

Born 12 May 1995, George Horne is a Scotland international scrum-half whose career has largely been made at Glasgow Warriors, where he and his older brother Pete have both worn the jersey. A livewire number nine, Horne is known for a sharp sniping game around the fringes, quick service and a threat to score himself from close range. He memorably announced himself on the Test stage with a hat-trick of tries for Scotland against Russia at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, underlining his knack for getting on the scoresheet. Horne has continued to add to his Scotland caps in Six Nations and autumn Test windows, providing the national side with a dynamic half-back option. At club level he remains a key squad member in Glasgow's URC and European campaigns.
