Biography

Guido Petti Pagadizabal is one of the most experienced forwards in Los Pumas' history. Born on 17 November 1994 in Bahia Blanca, the Argentine lock has accumulated more than 70 Test caps over more than a decade of international service, including Argentina's bronze-medal run at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and their charge to the semi-finals of the 2023 edition in France. A former Jaguares stalwart during the franchise's Super Rugby years, Petti is known for his athleticism at restarts and lineout, his willingness to cover across both lock and blindside flanker, and his appetite for contact work at the breakdown. His move to the English Premiership with Harlequins adds a seasoned, multilingual voice to the club's engine room, offering a package of set-piece calling, aerial contest work, and relentless defensive effort. In Pumas colours he has served under multiple head coaches without losing his starting berth, a marker of the quiet reliability that defines his game. At Harlequins he is expected to play a senior leadership role in the tight five alongside the club's homegrown forwards.
