Biography

Fijian flanker Haereiti Hetet, born on 10 July 1997, plays his Super Rugby Pacific rugby with the Fijian Drua. Now in his late twenties, the loose forward is an experienced member of the squad representing Fiji in the southern-hemisphere competition. Hetet brings a style familiar to Pacific Island back rows: speed through contact, power in collisions, and a direct approach to carrying. Those qualities pair with the Drua's high-tempo playing identity, which emphasises offloading, counter-attacking rugby, and athletic forward play. Super Rugby Pacific presents one of the toughest forward environments in world rugby, with Australian, New Zealand, Fijian, and Moana Pasifika sides competing week in, week out. Hetet's role within the Drua pack is to contribute at the breakdown, in the tackle, and in transition phases where the Fijian side has made its name. As a Fijian-qualified forward, Hetet sits within a wider pool of Pacific talent that feeds both the Drua and the Flying Fijians national setup. His experience at Super Rugby level provides grounding in a demanding competition. For the Fijian Drua, he is part of the back-row unit that underpins the franchise's ambition to continue building on their position in Super Rugby Pacific.
