Biography
Just out of the age-grade ranks, Harry Rees-Weldon has already given the Dragons a glimpse of the attacking threat he carries out wide. Born on 19 January 2005, the Welsh outside back is prized for his pace, his elusive footwork and a reliable finishing touch. He climbed through the Welsh age-grade system before earning his professional regional debut in the United Rugby Championship, a notable milestone for such a young player. Rees-Weldon's role is to provide a cutting edge in the wider channels, using his speed to exploit space and convert opportunities into points. Sharp attacking instincts allow him to read a half-gap and back his acceleration to finish, while his willingness to chase and compete adds value off the ball. As one of the emerging backs in the Dragons set-up, he faces stiff competition for minutes, but his natural gas and finishing ability mark him out as a talent worth nurturing. Sustained development and game time will determine how quickly he can establish himself at regional level.
