Jake Williams

Jake Williams is a scrum-half whose game is defined by tempo and control at Harlequins. Sharp and tactically astute at the base of the ruck, he is known for a crisp, accurate pass, an effective box-kicking game and the awareness to snipe around the fringes when defences narrow. As the primary link between forwards and backs, Williams shoulders much of the responsibility for directing his side's rhythm and structure, and his game management and communication are central to how the team controls territory and possession. A half-back who thrives on organisation, he blends the core distribution skills of the position with the vision to manage a match's key moments. At the Stoop his role is to set the platform for a dangerous backline, dictating pace and ensuring the pack's hard work is converted into forward momentum and points.
