Biography

A long-serving loosehead prop in Scottish rugby, Jamie Bhatti has spent much of his senior career in the Glasgow Warriors front row. Born on 8 September 1993, he has built a reputation for scrum reliability and the steady, high-volume work that modern looseheads inherit across a URC season. Bhatti's game is grounded in set-piece craft. He is a powerful scrummager with a stable technical base, able to hold his shape under pressure from heavier tightheads and give his hookers a dependable platform. He complements that scrum work with willingness in the loose, carrying with purpose into the tight channels and contributing consistently at the breakdown and in defence. His career with Glasgow has taken him into some of the most competitive stages of URC and European rugby, including involvement in the squad that lifted the 2022–23 United Rugby Championship title. That silverware underlined the depth of the Warriors pack and Bhatti's standing within a demanding forward rotation. Scotland selection has added a Test-match layer to his career, giving him exposure to international rugby alongside his long grounding in the Scottish club game. Bhatti continues to serve as a senior loosehead option for Glasgow and a dependable set-piece voice in the forward pack.
