Biography
Jordan Lay is a Samoan international prop whose career has spanned both hemispheres of professional rugby. Born on 5 November 1992, he has built a reputation as a durable, technically sound front-row forward capable of performing at the highest club and international level.
Lay's game is built around set-piece stability. A strong scrummager with a low, balanced engagement, he is comfortable across the front row and has been used in various configurations by his coaches. In open play he offers consistent carrying and a willingness to defend the ruck through long passages of defence.
He has represented Manu Samoa at senior level over several years, featuring in Pacific Nations fixtures and major international windows. His experience with the national team has grown steadily alongside his club career, making him a trusted presence when Samoa assemble squads for Test windows.
At the Blues, Lay contributes senior know-how to a front-row rotation that blends international experience with homegrown talent. His combination of technique, international exposure and professional standards makes him a valuable addition to the Super Rugby forward pack.
