Jordan Petaia

A Wallaby with genuine pedigree, Jordan Petaia is one of the most explosive attacking talents to come out of Australian rugby in recent years. Born on 14 March 2000, he is a powerful and versatile back equally at home at outside centre or on the wing, and is best known for his ability to break the line with a combination of pace, footwork and sheer physical power. Petaia announced himself on the biggest stage by becoming Australia's youngest-ever Rugby World Cup player when he featured at the 2019 tournament as a teenager, a marker of the regard in which his talent has long been held. His attacking game is built around dynamic, line-bending carries that put defences on the back foot and create opportunities for those around him. Now plying his trade with US Arlequins Perpignanais in France's Top 14, he adds significant strike power and big-game experience to the club's backline.
