Biography

Gloucester Rugby flanker Kealan Freeman-Price, born on 3 April 2007, is one of the youngest back-row forwards on the books at Kingsholm and a graduate of the club's English-qualified academy system. Despite his age, the teenager has begun pushing into senior squad consideration on the back of strong age-grade performances marked by aggression at the breakdown and a willingness to carry into contact. Coaches at Gloucester have pointed to his rugby maturity in defensive reads — particularly his ability to identify the correct tackle target in transition — as ahead of where most players are at his stage. His ball-carrying reflects a similar profile: technically sound footwork before the line, lower body strength to win the collision, and the leg drive to gain a final metre. With Gloucester continuing to invest heavily in academy talent, Freeman-Price is among a younger cohort of forwards being given controlled exposure as part of a long-term development plan. He remains some way from regular Premiership involvement but is regarded internally as a player whose ceiling justifies patient progression.
