Biography
Since breaking into the Glasgow Warriors set-up, Kerr Johnston has shown the qualities of a busy, abrasive flanker well suited to the demands of the United Rugby Championship. Born on 12 November 2004, the young back-rower has impressed with a high work rate, strong carrying and a disruptive presence at the breakdown. He competes hard over the ball, looks to slow opposition possession and offers useful support at the set piece, all hallmarks of a forward who understands the less glamorous side of the game. Johnston commits fully in defence and brings the kind of energy that allows a pack to maintain its intensity across eighty minutes. As one of the developing forwards in the Warriors' system, he has begun to establish himself as a reliable and hard-working option in the back row, earning the trust of his coaches through consistency rather than flashes. With his physical profile still maturing, Johnston has the platform to push for a more prominent role at Scotstoun as he continues to add senior experience to his game.
