Biography
Lawson Creighton is an Australian utility back who joined the NSW Waratahs ahead of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season. Born in Brisbane on 21 July 1998, he is primarily a fly-half but offers genuine versatility across the backline, having also covered centre, wing and fullback through his career. He came up through Queensland rugby, representing Brisbane City and then the Queensland Reds before crossing state lines to Sydney.
A composed playmaker, Creighton brings tactical game management and a reliable kicking game to the Waratahs' attacking options. His flexibility makes him a valuable squad member, capable of slotting into several positions and providing cover and competition in the pivotal number ten role. Having earned selection for Australia's under-20s earlier in his career, he continues to build his Super Rugby experience at the Waratahs, where his decision-making and adaptability add depth and control to the backline. He remains uncapped at full international level.
