Biography

An openside flanker born on 3 November 2003, Liam Edwards has emerged through the Welsh regional system as one of the Ospreys' promising young back-row options. He is built around a high work rate, competing hard at the breakdown and looking to slow or steal opposition ball as a jackal threat. Defensively he is busy and willing in contact, racking up tackle counts and providing energy around the fringes of the ruck. As a Welshman pushing for fuller recognition, Edwards continues to develop his game alongside the experienced forwards in the Ospreys squad, where his appetite for the unglamorous collision work makes him a useful presence. Still in the early phase of his career, his trajectory points towards a player who can grow into a consistent contributor at regional level and beyond. His blend of mobility and tenacity gives the Ospreys a flanker capable of disrupting attacking platforms while chipping in with ball-carrying when called upon.
