Biography
Lorencio Boyer Gallardo is a French back-row forward on the books of US Arlequins Perpignanais (USAP). Born on 23 September 2005, he is one of the younger flankers progressing through the Perpignan club's pathway in the south of France. His game is built around a high work rate and an appetite for the contact area, where he looks to compete for turnover ball, tackle with intent and add energy around the fringes. As a flanker, his brief is to link the forwards and backs, arrive quickly at the breakdown and offer support in the loose. Defensively, he is happiest in the thick of the collision, and he aims to bring that same intensity to his clear-out and counter-ruck work. Still in the early phase of his senior career, Boyer Gallardo represents part of the next wave of French loose forwards being developed at USAP, and his progression will hinge on carrying that physical, industrious style into the consistent demands of professional rugby.
