Biography

One of the younger backs on the Stade Toulousain roster, Lucien Richardis was born on 28 March 2005 and came through the club's celebrated academy system, long regarded as the most productive talent pipeline in French rugby. The Frenchman's game is built around acceleration and anticipation. He reads support lines early, arrives at pace, and looks to keep the ball alive in the offloading, high-tempo style that has defined Toulouse's approach in the Top 14 and in Europe. Those instincts were honed in the club's Espoirs setup, where he featured regularly before pushing towards senior selection. Breaking into a Toulouse backline stacked with internationals is among the harder assignments in the professional game, and Richardis has developed accordingly, adding physical conditioning and defensive detail to the natural running ability that first brought him to notice. Coaches have used him across the back line, an early sign of the versatility Toulouse tend to prize in their emerging players. At his age the career is very much in its opening chapter, but the combination of an elite development environment and a natural attacking instinct marks him as a player worth tracking as he accumulates senior minutes.
