Biography

Max Eke, born on 4 December 2003, is an English flanker who has progressed through the Saracens academy system. As one of the younger forwards in the senior pathway at Saracens, Eke has been developing in a back-row department containing several established international players, providing a stiff developmental environment. His role within the squad has so far been built around bench impact and rotation in cup fixtures, with the academy progression model at Saracens allowing him to build minutes alongside the senior group. As a back-row forward, his profile suits the modern flanker template — mobility across the field, contact-area work, and the lineout and breakdown contributions expected of a Premiership No. 6 or No. 7. Saracens have long been productive at promoting from within their pathway, and Eke is among the next wave of academy-developed players in the back row. With his early-twenties trajectory still to play out, his future will depend on the volume of senior minutes he secures through Premiership Rugby Cup and the wider league rotation. He is England-qualified and has been part of the Saracens senior matchday environment as he continues building toward a more permanent first-team role.
