Biography

Born on 5 August 2002, Max Williamson is a Scotland forward who has risen through the age-grade ranks to push for senior international honours. The Glasgow Warriors product is a tall, mobile forward known for his work rate, set-piece presence and willingness to put his body on the line. Williamson represented Scotland at U20 level before forcing his way into the wider national-team picture on the back of consistent club performances. His game is built on the unglamorous fundamentals — hitting rucks, making tackles and providing an option at the lineout — the traits selectors prize in a modern forward. As one of the younger members of the Scottish forward pool, he offers genuine long-term potential and the kind of engine that lets him contribute heavily across 80 minutes. With continued development and game time, Williamson is well placed to establish himself as a regular fixture in the Scotland squad in the seasons ahead.
