Biography
Quick hands and a sharp tactical brain mark out Morgan Lloyd as one of the Dragons' livelier scrum-halves. Born on 8 October 2002, the Welsh No. 9 links forwards and backs with rapid distribution and an accurate box-kicking game, while his competitive streak at the breakdown makes him a nuisance for opposition ball. Lloyd's game is built on tempo: he keeps his side playing at pace, picks the right moments to snipe around the fringes and gives his outside backs clean, early service. The standout moment of his career so far came when he earned a senior international cap for Wales, a reward for the form and maturity he has shown at regional level. For the Dragons he serves as a vital conduit, dictating direction and injecting energy whenever he is on the field. Still developing, he combines the natural cheek of a good half-back with a growing understanding of how to manage a match. As he gathers experience, Lloyd looks to cement himself as a key tempo-setter for club and, in time, country.
