Biography
Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro is an experienced Argentine tighthead prop, born on 6 November 1989, who has built his career as a reliable set-piece operator for club and country. He is a long-serving member of the Los Pumas front-row rotation and a mainstay of the Benetton pack in the United Rugby Championship.
Chaparro's game is defined by heavy-duty scrummaging and the kind of technical discipline that senior tighthead props are measured by. He stays low under load, works hard to hold scrum platforms steady, and backs that up with willing ball-carrying and a high work-rate around the field. That combination has made him a trusted option in high-pressure Test-match scrums and in the demanding URC environment.
Internationally he has been part of multiple Argentina Rugby World Cup campaigns, and he has earned caps across successive Rugby Championship and November Test windows. At Benetton, he has spent the bulk of his club career anchoring the tighthead side of the scrum and providing senior leadership to a front-row group that regularly blends South American and Italian-qualified forwards.
Now in the senior end of his career, Chaparro brings Test-match composure, scrum craft and a voice of experience to the Benetton pack, and remains one of the most familiar tighthead names in the Argentine forward pool.
