Biography

A product of Stade Rochelais's academy, Nathan Bollengier is an outside back who has progressed into the senior set-up at one of the Top 14's most powerful clubs. Born on 18 January 2004 in La Rochelle, he came through the JIFF development system at his home-town side and has since earned a contract that ties him to the two-time European champions. Bollengier operates on the wing or at fullback, where his pace and aerial work make him a useful option across the back three. He has already represented France at under-20 level, featuring in the side that reached the World Rugby U20 Championship final, a notable marker of his potential. At club level he continues to push for regular involvement, providing depth and energy behind a squad stacked with international backs. La Rochelle's commitment to nurturing local talent has given Bollengier a clear pathway, and his retention on a long-term deal signals the faith the club places in his development. With his blend of athleticism and back-field reliability, he is well placed to build on his early senior appearances and stake a claim for a more prominent role in the seasons ahead.
