Biography
Ofa Tu'ungafasi is a senior figure in the New Zealand front row and one of the most experienced props available to the Blues. Born on 19 April 1992, he has combined a long Super Rugby career in Auckland with sustained service to the All Blacks.
Tu'ungafasi is a powerful, large-framed tighthead whose strengths lie in scrum dominance and carrying over the gain line. He is equally comfortable bringing impact from the bench or starting, and his ability to last long minutes in a contest has made him a trusted option in the closing stages of tight matches.
With the All Blacks, he has amassed more than fifty Test caps, featuring across multiple Rugby Championship campaigns and Rugby World Cup squads. That level of international experience places him among the most capped props in New Zealand's modern era.
At the Blues, Tu'ungafasi has been a cornerstone of the forward pack during a period that culminated in Super Rugby Pacific success. He sets the tone in training, mentors younger front-rowers and brings a calm, championship-proven presence to matchdays.
