Biography
Pace and power have always been the hallmarks of Ollie Hassell-Collins. Born on 17 January 1999, the England winger made his name as a prolific finisher for London Irish before moving to Leicester Tigers in 2023, and he earned his first England caps during the 2023 Six Nations. Strong in the carry and explosive over short distances, Hassell-Collins is a handful for defences in the wide channels, combining a powerful running style with the finishing touch needed to convert opportunities into tries. He is more than just a finisher, however, offering a physical presence in contact and a willingness to involve himself in the heavy traffic to get his side moving forward. His ability to beat the first defender and carry through contact makes him a useful weapon for launching attacks from deep, and he is increasingly trusted under the high ball and in the defensive line. At Leicester he serves as a primary attacking option out wide, using his speed and strength to breach defensive lines and stretch opponents across the full width of the field, while bringing the kind of competitive edge that lifts those around him.
