Biography

A product of the Harlequins academy, Ollie Streeter is a back-row forward working towards senior recognition at the Twickenham Stoop. Born on 1 July 2006, he remains in the developmental phase of his career but has already shown the attributes that define a promising loose forward: a high work rate at the breakdown, honest defensive effort and a willingness to carry into contact. Streeter competes for turnover ball and involves himself repeatedly in the unseen graft that underpins effective back-row play. Schooled in the ambitious, ball-in-hand approach long associated with Harlequins, he is comfortable linking with the backs once play opens up and can offer an additional handling option in attacking phases. His physical foundation and appetite for the contact area give him a platform to build on as he progresses through the age grades and into the senior reckoning. For a player of his years the early signs are encouraging, and Harlequins, a club with a strong record of developing homegrown forwards, will look to nurture his potential as he presses for a more established role. The immediate focus will be steady game time and continued physical development as he adapts to the professional game.
