Osian Roberts

Welsh-qualified back Osian Roberts, born on 5 July 2005, is part of the Sale Sharks academy system at the AJ Bell Stadium. Part of the club's development pathway, he sits within a group of young players being groomed for senior Premiership opportunities in one of the most demanding leagues in Europe. Players at his stage of the pathway are typically judged on their adaptation to the physical demands of senior rugby, the clarity of their decision-making and their ability to replicate training-ground form in competitive matches. Sale Sharks have built a culture centred on hard-working, physical rugby, and that environment helps shape the edges of a developing back's game. Still early in his senior journey, Roberts has the twin incentive of pushing for Premiership minutes at Sale and attracting attention from within the Welsh national pathway.
