Biography

Paul Gabrillagues is a France international lock who has long been one of the cornerstones of the Stade Français Paris pack. Born in Paris on 3 June 1993, he came through to become a mainstay of the second row at the capital club, where he has also taken on the responsibilities of captaincy. A genuine engine-room forward, Gabrillagues offers physicality in contact, a reliable presence in the lineout and the relentless work rate around the field that defines a top-class lock. He made his senior France debut in November 2017 against New Zealand at the Stade de France and went on to win 18 caps, featuring around the 2019 Rugby World Cup period and most recently appearing in the 2024 Six Nations. At club level his consistency and durability have made him a trusted leader within the Stade Français forward unit, where he sets standards in the set-piece and the contact area.
