Biography
Peter Dooley is an experienced Irish loosehead prop who has brought his scrummaging and work rate to Connacht Rugby. Born on 4 August 1994, Dooley spent the formative years of his professional career with Leinster, where he built a reputation as a dependable front-row operator before moving west to Connacht to add set-piece stability and depth. As a loosehead, his primary responsibility is the scrum, providing a solid platform at the set-piece, but Dooley also contributes a strong work rate around the field, getting through tackles and hitting rucks in the mobile style now demanded of front-rowers. His experience across the United Rugby Championship and European competition makes him a valuable presence in the Connacht pack, both on the pitch and in mentoring younger props. For a forward, longevity and reliability are prized assets, and Dooley offers exactly that: a seasoned campaigner who understands the technical demands of the front row and can be trusted to hold up the scrum when it matters most.
