Biography
Pierre Ourtaud Cren is one of the youngest forwards in the Castres Olympique system, born on 19 September 2006 and still developing within the club's academy structures. He represents the next generation of homegrown talent being cultivated in the south-west of France at the Stade Pierre-Fabre.
A French forward by background, Ourtaud Cren is at the early stage of his professional development, with his game centred on physical involvement in the set-piece and around the contact area. Castres has built a long-standing identity around an abrasive, hard-edged pack, and the club's academy continues to focus on producing forwards capable of meeting those expectations.
At this point in his career, the priority is steady physical development, set-piece schooling, and accumulating game time through Espoirs rugby and other secondary competitions. As one of the more junior names on the Castres pathway, Ourtaud Cren is being given space to grow into the demands of senior rugby rather than rushed into the senior matchday picture.
Castres supporters have historically valued patient development of local forwards, and Ourtaud Cren is among the prospects the club hopes will eventually graduate into more prominent roles in the senior Top 14 squad.
