Biography
An England-born flanker on the rise at Saracens, Reggie Hammick represents the latest generation of back-rowers coming through one of the Gallagher Premiership's most decorated academies. Born in December 2005, he is among the youngest forwards in the senior setup and is being developed in a system long associated with hard, technically sharp loose forward play.
As a flanker, Hammick's role centres on the contact area: contesting at the breakdown, linking with the second row in tight phases, and providing line-speed in defence. Saracens' structured forward game places a premium on detail at the ruck and in the lineout, traits the club's coaching pathway has historically built into emerging back-rowers.
Still in the early phase of his senior career, Hammick is one to watch as he transitions from academy and developmental rugby into more consistent first-team exposure. His progress will be measured against the depth of competition for back-row places at Saracens, where opportunities must be earned alongside established internationals.
