Retshegofaditswe "Ox" Nché is a South African loosehead prop, born on 23 July 1995, whose scrummaging power has made him one of the most talked-about front-row forwards in the modern game. He has established himself as a cornerstone of the Springbok pack while also anchoring the Sharks' front row in the United Rugby Championship. Nché's reputation is built on his set-piece work. He is a heavily-built, technically precise scrummager able to generate dominant platforms against Tier One opposition, and he has become one of the defining scrum weapons of the current South African system. Around the field he complements that scrum profile with committed ball-carrying in tight channels and a willing defensive work-rate.
