Biography
One of Welsh rugby's recognised front-row forwards, Rhys Carré is a loosehead prop who has plied his trade at Saracens. Born on 8 February 1998, Carré is a powerfully built prop known for his work at the set-piece and his ball-carrying ability in the loose, a facet of his game that has long marked him out from more one-dimensional props. A full Wales international, Carré has earned caps for his country and brings Test-match experience to the Saracens front row. His size and mobility allow him to make an impact with ball in hand, getting over the gainline and offering an attacking dimension that complements his core duties at scrum and maul time. Whether starting or arriving from the bench as an impact replacement, he provides front-row power at a critical phase of matches. In the demanding environment of English club rugby and on the international stage, Carré's blend of set-piece grunt and athleticism has made him a valued operator. As an experienced prop in his late twenties, he remains an important set-piece anchor capable of influencing matches in both the tight and the loose.
