Biography
After making his name in New Zealand, Salesi Rayasi has taken his explosive finishing to the French Top 14 with Union Bordeaux Begles, whom he joined in 2023. Born on 25 September 1996, the New Zealand outside back built his reputation in Super Rugby with the Hurricanes, where his combination of pace, power and aerial strength established him as a potent try-scorer. A former Maori All Black, Rayasi brings international-calibre quality to the Bordeaux back three. He is at his most dangerous out wide, using his stride and strength to capitalise on space and to finish chances created inside him, while his height and timing make him a reliable target under the high ball. His move to France marked a new chapter in a career defined by athleticism and a knack for crossing the whitewash.
