Biography
A product of the Bristol Bears academy, Sam Worsley has grown into one of the club's most combative young back-row forwards. Born on 13 October 2003, the England-qualified loose forward built his reputation on an exceptional defensive work rate and a willingness to throw himself into contact, traits that earned him recognition at England Under-20 level. Worsley's game is founded on physicality. He is a strong ball-carrier who consistently gets Bristol over the gain line, and his presence at the breakdown allows the Bears to slow opposition possession and contest for turnovers. Coaches value his energy across the full 80 minutes, whether he starts or arrives as an impact replacement to add fresh legs to a tiring pack. As he continues to accumulate senior minutes in the Premiership, Worsley is increasingly trusted as a defensive organiser within the forwards. His blend of aggression, breakdown awareness and durability marks him out as a developing leader in the Bristol pack and a forward capable of shaping contests through sheer physical commitment.
