Biography
Blistering pace and a fearless approach to finishing have made Sevu Reece one of the most dangerous wingers in Super Rugby. Born on 13 February 1997, the Fiji-born flyer represents both the Crusaders and the All Blacks, where his agility, acceleration and clinical try-scoring make him a constant threat from the back three. Capable of covering wing or fullback, he was named the competition's top try-scorer in 2019 and has been part of multiple Super Rugby title-winning Crusaders sides. Reece specialises in turning half-chances into points, beating defenders with footwork and raw speed and finishing in the corner from the tightest of angles. His aerial work and counter-attacking instincts add further value, allowing his side to launch attacks from deep and to compete for high balls. A game-breaker in the truest sense, he can manufacture scoring opportunities from minimal space, making him a player opposition defences must account for at all times. With proven pedigree at both club and international level, Reece remains a cornerstone of the Crusaders' attacking firepower and a finisher of genuine class.
