Biography
A product of the Castres Olympique academy, Simon Meka is a hard-edged back-row forward who has earned his place in one of the Top 14's most physically demanding packs. Born on 14 March 2000, he progressed through the club's development system to secure a professional contract, a reflection of his work rate and physical presence. Meka's game is built on relentless defensive effort, powerful tackling and a strong contribution at the breakdown, where he competes hard for turnover ball. As a flanker he serves as one of the engine-room workers in the Castres forward effort, providing defensive grit, energy in the loose and a willingness to carry into contact. His combative style suits the abrasive, forward-oriented approach for which Castres are known. Still building his profile at the senior level, Meka continues to develop his all-round game and to push for a more prominent role in a competitive back-row rotation.
