Biography

Tamaiti Williams, born on 10 August 2000, is a New Zealand loosehead prop who has emerged as one of the most exciting young front-row forwards in world rugby. A product of the Crusaders system, his combination of size, mobility and ball-carrying threat marks him out as a modern loosehead built for the demands of the international game. Williams earned his All Blacks debut in 2023, rewarding seasons of consistent Super Rugby Pacific performances with the Crusaders, and was part of the squad that lifted the Super Rugby Pacific title that same year. His scrummaging power, work rate around the park and willingness to take on contact make him a genuine all-round front-rower. At Christchurch, he forms part of one of the most successful franchises in the southern hemisphere, learning his craft alongside vastly experienced front-row colleagues. With age and experience on his side, Williams is well placed to become a long-term fixture in the All Blacks pack and a leading loosehead in the global game.
