Biography

Blessed with electric pace and a devastating sidestep, Teddy Thomas is one of the most naturally gifted finishers in French rugby. Born on 18 September 1993, the France international winger has made his name as a try-scorer of genuine flair, capable of beating defenders in the smallest of spaces and turning a half-gap into a length-of-the-field score. Now plying his trade with Stade Toulousain, one of Europe's most successful clubs, Thomas adds an explosive edge to a backline brimming with attacking talent. His game is defined by acceleration, footwork and clinical finishing rather than the collision-based work of an out-and-out power winger; at his best he is a game-breaker who can decide a match in a single moment. Capped by France, he has scored at both club and international level, and his strike-running has long made him a constant threat on the counter-attack and from broken play. For Toulouse, his role is simple but vital — to finish chances and exploit any space the opposition concede.
