Biography

Connacht forward Temi Lasisi, born on 9 May 2001, is one of the younger members of the Galway-based province's pack. He has progressed through the Irish provincial pathway and joined Connacht as part of the club's continued investment in forward depth across the back row, with his profile fitting the long-term planning the province has prioritised. His game is built on physicality and work rate. He brings energy into the contact area, is willing in defence and offers a body for the close-quarter carrying and clean-out work that is the bedrock of a back-row forward's contribution in the United Rugby Championship. The province's coaches have used him to gradually broaden his exposure to senior rugby, with academy-style integration into matchday squads as he builds toward more regular minutes. Operating within the Connacht system means competing against URC and Champions Cup opposition week to week, an environment that accelerates the development of young forwards. Lasisi is still building the body of senior minutes that defines a player's identity at provincial level, but he represents the kind of homegrown talent Connacht continue to bring through as they look to deepen their stocks for the medium term.
